The idiot cops came around terlling me I had to evacuate - because the floods are going to come up another 2 meters.... well by following the flood gauge levels every 20 K down the river, it was rising by about 25 cm an hour early this morning and it's slowed down to 4 cm an hour, it's cresting - and will finish peaking at perhaps 7.2 meters and about to start dropping - so it's not going up to 9 meters... and the classification for a major flood is 7.5 meters and the water comes over the floor at 7.8 meters.... Yeah sure... not drinking the Police Panic Kool Aid.... "Evacuate, Evacuate - Run for your lives - no power, no phone, sewerage running back through the house... can't be rescued.... if you stay here your fucked... etc." - I am watching the river flood gauges and the Bureau of Meteorolgy updates on the projected flood levels and all that... Oh noes panick, panic, panic... This is another important issue to believe in the facts and stay away from the gossip and rumor mills....
