Niger coup supporters storm French embassy

As the international response to the coup in Niger grows, so do the protests. Supporters of the new military government gathered outside the French embassy, setting fire to French flags, the doors of the embassy, and anything vaguely combustible. The demonstrators called for an end to foreign interference in the country’s affairs, and the closure of all foreign military bases on Nigerien territory.
