Nigeriens slam French envoy for refusing the demand to leave

A deadline for the French ambassador to leave Niger as required by the new coup government has expired, and a massive protest over the official’s refusal took place in the capital of Niamey. Protesters condemned the former colonial power of France and the hold it had over their country.
