I had a similar misfortune recently regarding this unfair parking lot policy. The management of my office implemented an RFID base system where car owners will have to have a stored credit in their token. The token wasn't provided by the management but it can be purchased at any convenience store. In other words, the token is yours. I went to park my car two days ago and during the entry and some amount was deducted from the token. Fair enough. I went about my business and during that moment my token was gone. I searched everywhere again and again and asked everyone if they happened to see it. Alas, to no avail. That token still had some significant stored value and is now lost. I went to tell the management about my situation and they wanted me to pay some huge penalty. Without it, they will not allow me to exit the premises and my car will be stuck there. This policy is beyond unjust. It's evil. The victim was already punished for the loss of the stored value. On top of that, a new token has to be purchased and reloaded. It wasn't the victim's intention to lose it. It's just a misfortune that can happen to anyone. The management has no right to impose fines. The token wasn't even theirs! Nonetheless, I paid for it anyway because I needed to go home as it's already getting late. Perhaps after this, I will park my car outside the complex and walk. I had enough. I just need to remember to bring an umbrella.

Nothing pays off like persistence! But now you have me wondering if McDonalds here in the USA are Nazis about their parking lots!
