Offshore Powerboat Racing when boats were boats!

I have seen these boats up real close being trailered past - a few times.... and they are FUCKING HUGE boats.....

And I have seen the off shore racing - up close - as close as they were allowed to be - like 5 Km off shore in Port Phillip Bay - and they were tiny little specs - way out, and far away....

Not much of an event really.

I think if they had a circuit that allowed them to come within say 300 meters of the beach - for like 10 Km of the beach... that would have been VERY cool....

But the tiny little specs, far off in the distance - you could not see any thing and roar of the motors was diminished by the distance and buried under the noise of the nearby road traffic.

It was nothing you would turn up for - because there was nothing much to see.

So this video is as good as it gets....
