Orbán shows off his whipping skills

The Hungarian PM is used to whipping up controversy, but here he is with an actual whip. Viktor Orbán was at the Profession Star event at Hungexpo, an event that aims to promote the teaching of traditional trades to children, when he eyed several herdsmen demonstrating their prowess with the whip. Moments later the air cracked as Orbán stepped into the ring to show them how it’s done. Judging from the noise, he’s actually quite proficient with the rawhide. <br> <br>He shared the video via his Facebook page, with the comment ‘that’s why peace is better!’ We weren’t sure at first if it was laconic humor or a veiled threat, but Orbán later clarified on Twitter that he meant ‘that’s why you don’t mess with Hungarians.’ <br> <br>We’ll never look at the position of ‘Chief Whip’ in the Fidesz party the same way again.
