Palestinian held without charge gets 8 more months' jail as earlier deal breached

An Israeli court has extended the detention of Palestinian prisoner Khalil Awawdeh, initially detained under a contentious law that allows the arrest of Palestinians on the basis of undisclosed evidence, and their being held without charge or trial.
