Police shoot woman ‘threatening to blow herself up while screaming Allahu Akbar’

Police officers in Paris have shot a woman who was threatening to ‘blow herself up,’ according to witnesses. The unidentified woman, who was wearing an Islamic veil, initially drew attention at a Metro station, where she was making ‘worrying comments,’ including death threats. <br> <br>Commuters alerted the police, who managed to isolate the woman, leading to a 50-minute stand-off. Additionally, the station was shut down, soldiers brought in to surround the area, and civilians evacuated in accordance with France’s ‘Vigipirate’ anti-terror alert system. Officers opened fire after the woman began screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’ and threatening to blow herself up.
