I think he knows what he is talking about.
Not mincing words and short and too the point.

As far as I can tell both sides are now engaging in attritional warfare. Given the numbers involved Ukraine can't win using that method unless NATO intervenes. If NATO puts troops into Ukraine then I expect China to send troops to Russia. While Russia and China aren't exactly friends I guarantee China doesn't want American and NATO troop's camped on their border. I think the Chinese view the Russian Federation as a buffer between them and America/NATO. If America and China intervene it'll go nuclear.
