Prisoner swap pilot finally back with family after 12 years in US jail

Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko has been reunited with his family after a prisoner swap with the US on Wednesday. Yaroshenko was freed in exchange for former US Marine Trevor Reed, and had been in US custody for 12 years. <br>The swap took place in Turkey, with Yaroshenko arriving in Sochi then finally Moscow, where his wife and daughter were eagerly waiting on the tarmac. <br>Russia had proposed a prisoner swap for Yaroshenko in July 2019, after the pilot was arrested by US special forces in Liberia in 2010, on smuggling charges.
