Everything you said is perfect. I have a couple of things to add on top of what you said.
- if you work from home (and now many people can do that) *Really* report the spent time on tasks 2 or 3 times more that you actually spent. That will train the zombies to perceive an average performance from you. you simple use this extra time for your own stuff.
- Dont be too agreeable, sometimes this causes problems and people push to you be against someone. better to be a "non conflicting person" : "hey, sorry, I know people have different opinions on this, so, I prefer to respect everybody's opinion and save mine to myself". They will respect your "diligence"
- the companies forces you to be "motivated" all the time. you have to learn how to act and pretend to be motivated, controlling your inner self to be detached (that's hard !)
- You never mentioned pump and dump your job to be out of debt. this is a common case and it was mine for many years. IF that's the case, make a spreadsheet and plan carefully the day you will clear that debt. that motivates you to keep your little acting performance with the zombies

Pump and dump. I agree no reason to aim high for these corporations. trying to get you to feel like your family. know one wants you to benefit more than yourself.
