I dunno.... What is the resale value of the car? I'd hazard at a guess to just leave it... or get an expert opinion, to pull it out and a quick spray to cover it up and stop it rusting.....

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: Resale value before that was probably $2700. It has 180k miles, no ac, one busted window, rotors going bad, abs needs repair. I should ride it until it dies out on me.

@Alpha Male Lifestyle: I have an idea.... I kind of approach many things as a once off education... Like I buy a CHEAP electric powertool from Aldi - who have been selling utter shit... OK there is no point in buying a heap of them, fixing them up and reselling them... BUT rather than just laydown and take it in the arse, I get up and go through the entire tool and look at everything that is fucked about it, and where possible - I fix it up... AND the education is kind of priceless... OK a cheap wood working router - $25 - do I really want or need one? Well for $25 it's not like spending $300 and then only using it once or twice in 10 years.. within 20 minutes the bearings had shit... why? because ball bearings come in "grades" - what goes in the wheels of a cheap hand cart, for moving things with, are cheap pressed balls and cheap pressed ball races, and they are good for about 200 Km in a bicycle trailer - before they start falling apart.. but in a router where they spin at 24,000 RPM - you need not the best most precise bearings, but you need very good quality ball bearings, that are ground to very fine tolerances, and are made of very good alloy steels with heat treatment and proper lubrication... So I replaced all the ball bearings. The next was the height return spring - the fucks who had put it together, had put a spring that pushes the motor and the base apart, that was about 1/3 longer than it should have been so the spring knotted up and the parts would not slide together nicely - so I cut the spring to size, then the height adjustment locking screw - it was a plastic wing nut, moulded onto a brass screw - the plastic pulled off so I used a small spanner on the brass screw etc.. and the speed ajustment - that was up shit creek and I fixed that up.... SO the value in fixing up the ONE router, a very badly made router, taught me all about how they work and what to look for and all sorts of things, in a good router... So there is real value in that. But fixing up 100 of them? Forget it. BUT if I got a crate of them for nothing, I could just transfer the adjustments from router to router.. and keep myself in garbage routers for ever... but when it comes to serious work, they were useful, but they were not nearly as good as a proper decent one that costs like $300.... You might want to start making a few trips to the wreckers or auto recyclers - people who get GOOD at repairing cars get set up for it and they get fast at it... BUT the education is priceless - because you learn things..... However I also have a freind who when his engine on his second hand car, starts going on him, he just goes and buys a second hand car because it's cheaper to replace the car, than it is to fix the motor.... AC is easy to fix... I assume it's an electric window... it's easy to fix, rotors going bad - I assume these are the disk brake rotors - easy to fix... ABS... same same..
