Putin and Shoigu visit wounded troops in military hospital

President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu have been visiting troops in a Moscow military hospital. The soldiers are recuperating after being wounded in the Ukraine conflict, and the pair spoke to many of them, as well as medical staff overseeing their care. <br> <br>Later in the day, during a meeting with the state council, Putin advocated for Russian servicemen and their families to be given more in the way of payment and financial support. <br> <br>‘These are people who risk their health and life for the people and children of the Donbass, for the sake of Russia.
