Completely reasonable, even agreeable for a single mother to vet the men she's dating. I absolutely agree, and would add that this is common sense thinking, rational, and responsible for the sake of her children.
I'll add that it's also highly sensible, responsible, even wise for a single man to vet the women he'll date to exclude the single mother, who boasts in bad decision making and high expectations, and comes pre-loaded with a dysfunctional family that you will never fully be a part of.
