"Just Move to a Red State"

One needs a license to hunt or to fish because basically people come from outside of this country to live and will live off of hunting and fishing until it is all gone. The European population would generally not over hunt or over fish but the new population will.

Many politicians in Texas know in certain parts of the state, except in the major cities, the word "democrat" is blasphemous (catching the Kung flu while running from their legislative obligations, to D.C. instead, didn't help their cause), so they game the system by becoming RINOs in the state legislature, while being nowhere near Constitutional conservatives.
