@WMHarrison94: I flashed across the issues of why people get persecuted for free range fucking - and I thought initially "Well what is wrong with it?" Nothing really - so they should not get fired for fucking with their peers... BUT on the other hand SEX kind of needs to be tightly regulated - in some sense, other wise chaos and insanity can really cut loose and the whole thing can cause havoc and turn to shit.... We can all turn into barbarians on the battle field in a fuck fest of crazies... I guess...

@GenerationLESS: If it is genuinely UNLOADED - checking the barrel and the cylinder... all empty... what is wrong with checking out how it sounds? I would. But then I am analysing the trigger mechanism, the friction, the release point, the spring force on the hammer, the hammer impact on an unloaded frame, AND sound through air, is different to sound coming through the frame and into your skull and then into the ear.... So there is a HUGE amount of data that comes from all of the many methods of analysing how things work..... BUT I would be making TRULY sure that it was unloaded before doing it.... AND in terms of suiciding - a slow or fast trigger pull - that will usually be the last thing you will ever see, feel, hear and comprehend - before you die. So it's an intense situation to analyse and think about. Recreating a similar expereince - is not a foolish thing to do, it's an educational experience. Americans get taught and trained by the media to think in black or white terms - from "Awesome / Cool" or "Really fucking crazy" - with no context, cues, back ground information, subtlties and nuance......
