Most women and many men for that matter are addicted to the dopamine that their phones produce when they go on the internet and social media. Myself included. I started building websites back in 1999 during the height of the dot com boom and I remember feeling amazing when I started getting search listings on Yahoo. Suddenly thousands of page views started streaming in and I couldn't help but constantly check my web stats over and over again all day. I would also check my advertising earnings many many times per day and would get a little bit of a dopamine buzz when I would see the number go up. If the number didn't go up normally because my hosting provider was down or the search engine was updated and it wasn't in my favor and traffic fell then the pain was twice as bad. When my Sandman YouTube channel went from sixty to seventy thousand views a day all the way down to twenty-five thousand a day it was also painful. But I had been through a similar dopamine crash in the past. Just this week I saw that Keemster over at DramaAlert had his view also cut in half from well over a million views a video to just over half a million and he's asking why. But it doesn't matter. His views and therefore revenue has fallen and therefore it's a double whammy of dopamine withdrawal. You get it from watching the cash number and the view number flash across the screen. Most women I know get about one hundred to one hundred and fifty likes per Facebook or instagram post. Most of that is family, friends and simps. Back in the days when I was in relationships in the early 2000s my girlfriends would complain about me spending all my time on the computer. Back then we only had a wired internet and they didn't understand why I was doing it. But once the crackberry showed up they started spending more time on their phones then I ever spent on my computer.
