The best option would be to return the roads back to what they were would be the cheapest option. as for Who is driving on the wrong side of thew road! do you know why some countries drive on the left and some on the right?..........................Well it goes back to the horse and carriage days when toll booth's or toll gates were the norm , the carriage drive would sit on the side the toll was collected so as not to get down from the carriage. In England all the toll gates were to the right hand side of a carriage and that is why in the UK we drive on the left.

The other point to your comments is the accident was probably causesed by some fucking foreign CUNT in the first place? Probably a Ukainian who has been given a free car and driver's license and plenty of UK taxpayer's money. I had to take a test and pay for my licence many moons ago and buy my own fucking vehicle!

@InfiniteMushroom: Motorways /Highways used to have a Hard shoulder or Median you could pull onto in the case of a breakdown, it also acted as an escape route at times ans the emergency services used to use it for passing still traffic to reach an Incident. As you see here it is total chaos for the EMS. what happened was under the guise of heavy traffic a few years ago knowing they could make money from it the UK government spent billions of taxpayers money on adding a lane over where the Median used to be. The roads or Highway/Motorways were never very bad except in an incident or in the summer when people were going away or travelling. In the UK it is said "Anything" with the word "SMART" attached to it is a con or a scam. Easy to believe for those with a SMART electricity meter where their bills have risen a lot since fitting. I still have an old still meter and control my own use. The good thing is THEY cant force me to have a SM<ART Meter! Anyway back to the "SMART" Motorways. The idea is that with camera;s and matrix boards they can quickly spot an incident or problem and close lanes and make diversions electronically with computers that are certainly NOT up to the job. Also it has been anonymously said from with in that these surveillance or monitoring stations often many miles away from the motorway the staff often spend time NOT at the console and play Candy Crush and computer games on their mobile or Cell phone's So when an incident appears it can take minutes not seconds to sort the traffic out. This is worse than it was when motorways had a shoulder. Smart Motorways DO NOT give the user an escape route or any time to think and with the amount of Lorries and Trucks especially artics/Semi's traveloling at speed the area can become Death traps in seconds. I'm a Biker and rarely use them unless needs be. The only refuge is ever 1 or two miles is a small layby with an emergency phone, so you better hope you are near one when you breakdown. in this event the computer is supposed to close lane's reduce speed or evenb stop traffic using lighting matrixes on gantries. The reality is this rarely happens as it should and "SMART" motorways are getting reputation as "DEATH TRAPS. Hope that answers you questions. Peace.
