The whole hydrogen fuel thing was shown to be a non-starter from the get go. The EROI is negative. In other words, the energy expended to create hydrogen and the special infrastructure to handle it is far greater than the actual work done by the end user.

IMO, we'll be back to coal and steam before too much longer. Why? Coal and steam have very high positive EROI. From the earth to the engine, coal and coke take comparatively little refinement before the heat energy is put to work. Coal is converted to coke very easily and steam engines require far less technology to implement before actual work is done for the end user. Coal is self-extracting, like oil. Coal powered machines can create steam energy to do work and dig up more coal. To reduce air pollution, coal can be converted directly to coke and coke burns without smoke. Oil is the same way. Diesel pumps and diesel generators operate the oil fields and drive the oil tankers across the oceans. Coal and coke can do the same work with less input.

Even with the lower efficiency of steam engines for the end user, in a world of great scarcity, it will be the only way to get anything done.

that has changed significantly through the years, also hydrogen is the most natural out of all these options and is even cheaper to create because it's easily extracted from water, i mean if this guy can do it with solar panels and some reverse osmosis water that's treated in the same place instead of hundreds of miles away https://www.mgtow.tv/watch/hyd....rogen-house-project- effectively losing at least 78% of the potential power loss because the power has to travel, this guy filled his tanks for 2 months and it was enough to last him all year long, this is the reason why the industry doesn't want to go for it, it's because it could essentially be created for free by the average user and can also be automated , it's not only the most abundant fuel on earth but it's the most efficient and better for the environment overall, he actually said something about the Hindenburg that i didn't know, apparently it also had been created with oil which is what most people saw in the sky when it blew up but at the time it was enterally blamed on hydrogen alone when there were a few other factors to take into consideration.

@KEEPER: I've often wondered how hydrogen could be reintroduced into airships. Not only does hydrogen have twice the lifting power of helium, hydrogen can be made in abundance whereas Helium is relatively scarce on the Earth and costs a lot to make. I think a compromise can be made! QUESTION: how much Helium would have to be mixed with Hydrogen to reduce the flammability? The airbags would have to be constantly stirred to prevent stratification but, even the blowers to do that wouldn't cancel the extra lifting power. If Helium becomes too expensive, how much CO2 could be introduced in a hydrogen-filled bag to reduce the danger of flammability. CO2 is heavier than air so, it could only be a small amount. Nobody seems to be pondering that approach....

Good video. Talking about five dollar a gallon? From their clothes and music, you tell this "old," likely I am thinking late seventies to eighties. And as a STEM graduate twice over I can confirm the chemistry. <Fuck, I need to stop using my PS4!>

yeah, this was probably the 80s, this dude is most known for his Alien UFO experience that he wishes he never took any part of, because it essentially fucked up his civilian life, not to mention the secret military organization denies ever taking part in it.

Interesting you post this.
Was just watching it earlier today.
It's all good, but not everyone has the knowledge he does. Most people are just dumb. I wouldn't want people messing with electrolysis, which in itself is a very simple process, but stupid people messing with electric components and highly flammable Hydrogen... Bad idea.

This also reminded me something that I've been thinking for some time. In school we were told H is the most elementary atom there is. Only 1 electron orbiting the nucleus, which consists of 2 protons and two neutrons. The O atom has 8 of each, and two layers of electrons, making it not only heavier but also significantly larger. Yet, we get twice the volume of H compared to the volume of O... Which if I'm correct won't be O but O2. Something doesn't add up. Maybe I had bad math teachers...

@AwfulDIGGER: yes, the thing is how is 1 H atom the same volume as 1 atom of O? You get twice the volume of H, so the H atom must be the save volume as an O atom.

@The Man Inside: The volume aspect is best understood that you have twice as many Hydrogen atoms as Oxygen atoms when separating the water molecules. The volume of the two atoms independently is negligible.

@The Man Inside: by the way, i was one of the dumbasses who attempted to do what bob lazar did, except i just followed the instructions of the professionals and took the proper precautions needed to create it and use it on my car. however i was too chicken shit to do it like bob, instead i just did hydrogen on demand which is created as it's being used, where you still need to use something like gasoline, but you have a burbler just in case of kickback and because it's only created on demand, it's much safer than storing it in containers like what bob did. if he were to get into a wreck within that car or someone where to rear end him, that could end very badly. again, i'm no expert in the science of this stuff, but i do understand how to make it and take the proper precautions because i really don't want it to blow up in my face, i just did it because i wanted cheaper fuel and to allow my oil to last longer because it burns cleaner.

@KEEPER: Doesn't seem you're a dumbass, does it? Those bottles are very, very tough. He said the hydrogen was released only when something else was applied to the bottles, which made it also on demand. But it's not impossible for things to go wrong. Where do you get the electricity from? Do you kno6thw Stanley Meyer method? Please share.

@The Man Inside: so the way i learned it was to get the electricity from your car battery, but only produces while your engine is on. what bob did wasn't considered on demand so much as it was completely contained in containers. there are hundreds of videos online about how it's done all using their own methods, but most are pretty much the same when it comes down to how it's created, they don't use platinum like bob, but they do use stainless steel which also works just as good, and they use something like baking soda for the electricity in the water and distilled water, at some point it does break down a little bit in the water, even though it's done with stainless steel, it still causes the water to go brown in time, but at that point you just swap out the water and it should work like new again, and maybe replace the steel if needed. they call it browns gas, but it's just hydrogen created.

@The Man Inside: Bro. This is old chemistry from nearly its birth as a "science" in the 19th Century free from the BS today. We have an Ideal Gal Law, which is based on a number of observed gas phenomenon, is PV=nRT. The space ie Volume of the gas is only dependent on the Temperature and the Pressure; the moles (n) or atomic size is independent of its molecular diameter. Moles is related to atomic scale via Avogrado's number: It is used to convert from molecular to macro "views" in the calculations. R is juts the gas constant. which relates to other constants.

@The Man Inside: You both are not wrong. except on the sun's surface, hydrogen exists as diatomic gas when it is not ionized to hydrogen (a proton) + 1 or hydride -1. There is deuterium, one proton and one neutron form of hydrogen and Tritium, two neutrons and one proton-- the result of nuclear reactions especially our plants. These are designated as D or T.
