Perhaps there needs to be an independent 3rd party watchman (for a nominal fee paid for by concerned parents of course) to sit in on the class and monitor the teachers and report on their methods and how far they deviate from the curriculum with all this social study BS.

where were the parents the whole time? as soon as you even see a rainbow flag in the school, you know it's time to pull them out. The kid can learn what then do in a day of school in less than half the time anyways.
