step #1
turn off secure boot in your BIOS, to fix "kernel module load" errors.
boot to the GRUB menu
choose Advanced Options
choose Recovery mode
choose dpkg - fix broken packages
let it try to finish the aborted upgrade
If that doesn't resolve your problem, I'll give you a different set of specific commands to execute. Report back.
