this is why i thought going full audio would have helped save you, but now your capacity is under, as much as i like the idea of having video, video is nice, but it's just too expensive to run this kind of site. i mean i will occasionally delete videos i upload. because i don't want to use up your server, but when you told me that you have been cloning channels, i thought oh shit, this is going to turn out very badly really fast.

again, i have loved this site and it's been a great resource to use, but unfortunately it's getting a bit too expensive even for yourself and you are losing the most out of this deal.

look at the end of the day, we men don't really need all that much, if all we had was just text and audio, we would manage. having videos is great, but if the infrastructure is too unsustainable, than you are playing the game of a losing battle, i really don't want to see you lose, but i also don't think enough people will jump onboard to support this website.

you could have deleted some clone channels to save the server some space, but you chose to purchase a more expensive server, and now you need more money in a market where everyone is losing more money, this is a bad idea to expand now.

U right...only sound (human voice maxed out at around 8khz..that would be a voice of a child) so storage and transmission would be a complete joke...and if you want video let them pay for it.

@Lucifer333: that's not a bad idea, but the audio can be as simple as mp3, but for your idea it could work in the short term , but the cloned channels are another issue. Look, this site appears to be doing well, but listen to Amr talk about the finances of this website, he's tredding water, there are also a lot of unforeseen variables that he doesn't take an account for, this expansion to the new server don't get me wrong it's great, but because it's $200 more expensive it's going to be that much more expensive for him, and he's thinking that more people are going to be willing to pay more, that is not a very good direction to be going currently as inflation has risen for other folks everything has gone up, meaning having a new server is great, but it's gotten more expensive not only because of inflation but because he needed a bigger server to handle everything. One day he's not going to be able to make the payment to the server, and I don't know how long you can not pay a server, but that would mean everything has to be shut down on the website until it gets resolved. It's like having rolling blackouts except these ones depend on whether you pay or not.

@KEEPER: i was thinking of webrtc (audio only) supports legion of audio codecs straight from the browser....later downloadable in mp3 format...a mix of audio and still images is available, there open source stun and turn servers for webrtc....you can add still images to the mix ( tfm likes to show charts )

@Lucifer333: if it's more efficient and less load heavy, I'm all for it, but I have no idea if this system is capable of that, I guess that's a question for Amr to answer.

@Lucifer333: alright, but the site would probably need some kind of converter, because the average person will have no idea how to convert their files to this, unless they could find a recorder that has that type of file built-in.
