Verbal communication doesn't work anymore. It's completely sabotaged. Everyone is so insincere, out to back-handedly insult people to their faces, sarcastic, and plain rude and disrespectful that you have to be trying to construe anything someone says as an attack against you. Frequently, people find false positives, and having been gaslit before when they correctly appraised something as an attack, they are unwilling to consider that it wasn't. The problem behaviors that created this mess are all toxic feminine behaviors, you'll notice.
This is probably why the Taliban forbade women from laughing in public. Just a woman's laugh is enough to pervert verbal discourse, and we see they use it as a nonverbal insult here in the west where we lack the power to prohibit it.
Thanks for the insight that boxing can be used to cut through this nonsense. Having a group of men who box each other might plant the seed of direct, sincere communication, at least among them.
