You are correct in the fact of politician ineptitude, but it goes deeper. They don’t care because the public cannot touch them. They can show their cards with impunity, Reward themselves with tons of taxpayer money while putting the public in a debt that they’ll never get out of in a hundred lifetimes ( and they are still spending), and literally be the biggest domestic threat the country has ever seen (aside from allowing Marxism to exist under many different names for decades). But they are definitely being controlled. Make no mistake. They are being told to write checks for themselves, which really makes you admire the magnitude of the absurd amount of money and power their puppeteer truly possesses.
