About the speaker :

Dr. Eric Daniels is a Research Assistant Professor at Clemson University's Institute for the Study of Capitalism. In addition to his work at Clemson, he also teaches regularly at Georgetown University. He earned his BA in History and Rhetoric magna cum laude from Drake University.

He took his Master's and Doctorate in American History from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Prior to Clemson, he served as a postdoctoral fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor at Duke University's Program on Values and Ethics in the Marketplace, where he was nominated for a university-wide teaching award.

Daniels has lectured internationally on the history of American philosophy, American business and economic history, entrepreneurship, American legal history, and the American Enlightenment. He has appeared on C-SPAN's American Writers series, dozens of radio stations across America, and his articles have appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the San Diego Business Journal, and he is a regular contributor to The Objective Standard.

His academic publications include chapters in The Abolition of Antitrust and For the Greater Good of All: Perspectives on Individualism, Society, and Leadership as well as entries in The Oxford Companion to United States History.
