Lads, I saw a lot of this coming YEARS ago, and made appropriate changes to my life to accommodate my new knowledge. I've been avoiding the rent trap for years, by altering my accomodation situation. You'e absolutely correct about people taking deals with the devil, RPM. Loads of people are underwater on their debts and mortgages, and should, by all rights, be homeless and bankrupt by now.

What do you mean by rent trap exactly? I’m just asking out of curiosity. Do you refer plain rent or the property tax one has to pay yearly to pimp daddy? And yes I agree one should always strive to advance their knowledge in finances... not many have a financial education—therefore they are poor or middle class.

As for rich, I view them as the highly paid actors and such— basically they are no different than a salary worker in that they get paid for what they do... once they are done they are out of luck if they have shit financing skills. The wealthy are the ones many do not hear off, they are the ones who do not truly need to work for their wealth as they know how to have their resources work for them.

How about those landlords/property owners who still have to pay taxes, utility bills, etc? Time to get to work.

The rent is too high. The landlords are going to have to take a haircut. Honestly, those bailouts should never have happened.
