Stoke up buddy's cognitive dissonance by explaining benevolent sexism (pedestals) vs. equality (equal treatment).

Pretty "warm" in the Pacific Northwest as well. As you may already know, 122°F in B.C. earlier in the week. Lots of mussels perished on the beaches. Climate change hoax anyone, or God using nature to send another message? Just asking for a friend.

Words of wisdom. Time will tell the fools who won't see truth may never learn. As to the forest yes too many see it as a park and just peachy keen. Hindi language gave us a word for forest, it's called jungle.

Basically jungle is 'tropical forest' Unlike forest where you can spread a mat and have a picnic under the trees, jungle is just lush and thick in every strata. This helps to keep the much needed moisture. I had some opportunity to go for 'jungle tracking'. It was really tiring and wasn't a walk in the park.

@SoloManZone: When I was in the UK decades ago, I had the opportunity to hike along the Pennine's Way (a part of it). Very breathtaking and picturesque. I just love English countryside.
