if you stop it at 2:05, and go frame by frame... That IDIOT woman running in front of the locomotive, They ARE huge.
The big steel front plates are a moderately tough steel, that is 32 - 36 mm thick....
When they his trucks on level crossings, maybe some brake lines get broken off, but for the most part the truck and trailer were destroyed, and back at the depot, some old guy came out with a jam tin with a wire handle and a brush, and some paint, and touched up a few scrape marks.
In terms of people, cars and trucks - locomotives are the Hammer of God.... Make the time to go to a maintenance depot and watch a big loco getting lifted by cranes off it's bogies (wheel sets and motors) - These are frightening, in terms of the sheer size, and the weight, AND just how THICK the steel is, in the wheels, the axles, the motors, the gears and the bogie, that all that hardware rides in... This is BIG hardware.

You very rarely ever see them, but 22 Lb sledge hammers - the locos are like that, and you in your car, are like the tin of sardines.

What gets up my arse is people who CUE across the level crossings, bumper to bumper and then get hit by trains and or killed and all the idiots say, "Oh it's a very dangerous level crossing" rather than admit that people are habitually stupid and take dumb risks.....
