Truck driver rescued after 6 hours in croc-infested waters

There are bad days at work, and then there’s this. <br> <br>A routine crossing for a trucker in Kenya turned into a daring helicopter rescue from a raging crocodile-infested river, after his truck was swept off the causeway by a sudden flash flood. The driver managed to scramble out of his cab, but was then left perched on top of it for six-and-a-half hours, as rescue attempts failed the water kept rising, and the river’s occupants got hungrier. <br> <br>Cue Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, known for rescuing elephants and rhinos with their aerial team, who flew in and performed an inch-perfect maneuver, grabbing the driver from the jaws of certain death with just minutes to spare.
