@Igor_MGTOW_And_Video_Games: true, however in this case it's more about status than what you think it's about. if it were just something nice for himself, than it wouldn't be anything flashy to show off. you run into the same logic with women who wear sexy clothing and they often say. "i'm not wearing these sexy clothing for men to notice me, i'm wearing this clothing for myself!" lol. now if you were to buy a nice pc that's worth $3k or something, then i would understand it's for himself and not to benefit for the status to get noticed by women.

@Sentient_Of_Truth:There is a 3rd reason. The "Fuck You" factor. The "I CAN buy it" when you were told you are poor growing up. When I buy expensive stuff it's very targeted. I have to have a need for it and I buy the best I can afford. It's really extreme. I am a cheap ass if it really doesn't matter. Wearing sweatpants sitting next to a $2,000 pistol extreme.
