as CGA says, every man pays. it is only a matter if you pay upfront or on the back end with the latter being the most costly. and paying does not necessarily mean money. it can be attention, time, energy, opportunity cost and so on. the cheapest you'll ever get laid is to pay with money upfront. unless you put a ring on that finger, of course. in which case you'll pay the most.
and even if you manage to not pay anything, or at least you'll think you paid nothing. in reality, your taxes paid for it one way or another because of welfare, diversity hire and the law in general.
