This is an important topic. It's insane that people still do this to boys. I've heard it described as a type of trauma that damage boys natural psychological development. Maybe that's a stretch. However, even if they don't consciously remember it, one of their earliest life experiences was being mutilated sexually. I think it's reasonable that that would leave a mental scar.

@Red Pill Mentor Tokyo: Thank you for the link. I didn't see the article mention religious issues. It's strange to me that many Jews and christians who advocate circumcision as a religious practice might criticize groups like Nexium that branded women as an initiation. I'm speculating, but perhaps undergoing bodily mutilation makes it difficult to leave a group. Terms like trauma bonding come to mind for involuntary mutilation. For voluntary mutilation the sunk cost falicy might better apply. What do you think?
