I believe there is a spiritual reason for this. This might be connected to teachings on the kundalini, the spinal cord, and the sexual transmutation of energy into higher creative and spiritual thought. Napoleon Hill writes about this.
But yeah feminism is definitely a top-down movement from the UN. No doubt about that. Their sustainability (population and taxation) goals speak for themselves.
