Recently I read a few articles discussing the risking number of single men and why everyone is worried about it except single men of course. I have observed that many bachelors don't work as hard and are not as productive as guys with families because they don't have a wife and rugrats to supports. So government tax revenue declines and the velocity of money slows. There are less tax receipts to pay for all the single mothers on welfare out there so the only way to increase the money supply and velocity of money is by printing more of it which creates inflation. The inflation picks up like we saw during covid and men refuse to work because they were making more money investing and watching their asset prices in things like crypto and tech stocks head to the moon. Many guys stopped working at their restaurant gigs because they made a ton of money during the 2021 crypto boom. Some of those lost of ton of money and are now being forced back to work. The reverse wealth effect slows wage growth and inflation. That's one of the reasons we are seeing the fed raise interest rates. But it hurts asset holders the most and rewards those that are living paycheck to paycheck for spending their money today instead of spending it tomorrow. The last thing the state, corporations and the whamen want is single men saving their money and then speculating on assets and getting wealthy only to stop working, reduce their tax burden by paying less tax and enjoying their lives. Men staying single is deflationary and for the last twenty or thirty years the bigger threat to the system has been fighting deflation. Single men also spend a lot less money into the economy and we maximize the utility value of the things we purchase. For example the laptop I'm typing this on is from 2008. All I do is replace the battery from time to time. My desktop is from 2012, car from 2010, tablet from 2013. I reformat my devices once in a while and keep original backup software. People rent much of today's software monthly. I use old versions that still get the job done for free. The only new device I've replaced before the old one died is my phone. That was about 2 years ago now but I got it free technically because I signed a two year phone contract. I only did that because my old phone wouldn't connect to a Bitcoin hard wallet. Other than that I don't need to buy new tech outside of new hard drives to store my content and video files. I'm not contributing very much to the consumer economy. I'm not in debt so I'm not expanding the money supply and I have assets instead of liabilities. To the credit card industrial complex I'm what is known as a dead beat because I refuse to pay interest. I drive less so I got a car insurance plan that's three times cheaper and based on mileage. I get new tires, oil changes and batteries from time to time but that's it. If they made cars that looked more compelling I might get a newer one but they all look the same and boring. No debt taking out a car-loan. No leasing of vehicles. Only time I ever leased a vehicle in my mid twenties was when I could write it off. Twenty or thirty percent of men in soyciety like me would mean a central planners nightmare.
