of course they do not love. they cannot because there is no such thing as love. what women define as love is commitment of man's resources to her. what men define as love is commitment of woman's body to a man. this is basic anthropology. she does not want him to spend money on other women and he does not want her to sleep with other men. when they are both committed, the simply promise to share said resource(her body an his money) only with each other. simple. when these things take place, we say he/she loves me. in both cases it's a materialistic commitment. when it comes to emotions, it is purely about responsibility. only men can be responsible because of their moral development(see kohlberg's moral development theory). so when men love, they take care of you. they make sure you are ok. they provide and protect. they care. on the other hand, women cannot do any of this. their emotional love is probably something in line of avoiding doing anything that could jeopardize commitment of his resources to her. so she will be "nice" to him. but it's all fake. it's mostly based in fear of losing those resources. when we look at modern society, where men are trapped in relationships(marriage or just desperation of vagina), we see women no longer have to be "nice" because they know the man won't leave her and take his resources with him. this is the power men have willingly given away and why we have epidemic of weak men and epidemic of crazy women. from their point of view, there are no repercussion for behaving badly or mistreating her man(physically or emotionally).

They'll work with each other to a certain extent & they'll protect each other to a certain extent too because of they have their own group preference.

Isn't it ironic that the very people who do not know the first thing about love (outside of their blood relations like kids, parents or siblings perhaps) are spending days on end wishing that the total strangers would love them unconditionally?
