Woman narrowly avoids carjacking in California

An Oakland, California woman narrowly escaped from a mostly peaceful carjacking recently as crime rates soar in the United States. The woman nearly fell victim while driving down an otherwise empty boulevard when the car in front of her waited until the road narrowed, came to a stop and blocked the road. The ambushers then ran at the car with a gun. <br> <br>Luckily, the woman displayed enough awareness to immediately drive, maneuvering around the attackers and their vehicle before speeding off. As she escaped the scene, shots were fired, presumably at her.
