I've stung many a parent with that phrase: "You parents can't even do what nature programmed you to do: which is discipline your own kids so they survive in the world without getting murdered for their insolence by someone they piss off!"
It's so true; every generation after the Silent/WW2 generation [Boomers on] have large percentages of people that are too stupid, too cowardly, or too egotistic to put in the effort and harshness to correctly raise their children. The Boomers put in so many policies that prevent adequate discipline, or else a parent can get arrested for 'abuse.' It's almost always a man that gets arrested for discipline. Women can be all kinds of obvious and legit super-abusive, and they have to disfigure their kid before anyone acts. I think the collective immunity women give each other has a lot to do with it [the piece of shit DCF and case-workers are women].
