To defend her - The BBQ has swivelling castor wheels under it, and they were pointed towards the ledge, so that the inertia of the lid opening, nudged the BBQ to the edge of the concrete block, which I assume had a slight slope on it to make the rain run off...

Plus Mr Expert here (don't ever ask why) - that edge NEEDS railing along it.... and either a shallow ramp at each end, or a nice wide, flat half step in the middle.

AND at the very least, the BBQ needs a slightly longer bit of 20mm by 40mm board, screwed to the concrete, or some shallow drop in dowels, behind the wheels, to stop it rolling off the edge, or position it back from the edge and take the wheels off.

So picking on women - if the idiot had come up to the lit BBQ, with a giant 1 US gallon (3.75L) container, of petrol, and has started to pour it on the BBQ and it has flared up and then she drops the almost full container into the BBQ and runs.... and there is a giant fire ball, burning up the side of the house...

Well she ought to be beaten for that.... This is pure "dumb cunt"

But this, circumstantially, it's general carelessness, on I presume, all parties, and it needs analysis to understand WHY the BBQ fell off the edge, and to then take simple steps to prevent it in the future.

BUT (in keeping my kill myself secrets to myself, as I want to look shit hot here), a LOT of people get killed by REALLY simple things, such as a small step in the concrete pavement blocks, or a balcony (Ahem) that while it's ONLY 6" or 150mm or so high, it needs hand rails and ramps, or to have the soil or gravel back filled up to the step, with or without brick pavers...

People slip and die getting in and out of the bath tubs..... SHIT like this goes on ALL the time.

So she is responsible for NOT paying attention to the BBQ being so close to the edge, but as to who is responsible for parking or moving the BBQ into that position AND who is responsible for fixing up the step in the back veranda, and now they see the errors in their ways, and what it leads too, what are they going to do about it?

It's not FAIR to slag the woman off as a FOOL, just because she is a woman, OR to allocate full responsibility to her, for the disaster - especially as there is MORE than ONE issue at play.

And she didn't stand there like a total fuckwit, going "Oh my god, Oh my god, where is my Valium, Oh my god" etc., she was smart enough to jump in and immediately turn the burners off, after the BBQ did go over.

So not all women are TOTAL morons...
