When I was in the military, the LAST thing on my mind was marriage, bc I never thought it was fair to the woman (or me) when I was deployed. I knew the temptations I would encounter, and witnessed the married guys enduring the same things. Not proud of it, but back in the '70s, while stationed in Hawai'i and later on the Mainland, I was "Tyrone" to a couple of married women. Also dated a single mother, whose son (supposedly) was the child of a married man. She "claimed" she didn't know, until she went to our base to "welcome him home" from his deployment, pregnant with (supposedly) his baby, only to find that he was married, when he and his wife (with a couple of other kids) embraced on the tarmac. I admit she had some nice Poon-yee-ti (UC), but I wasn't about to marry or have a LTR with a single mother, whose kid's father was also a Marine. Had enough drama with her. Lol.
